Other Impressions
66th Illinois
On those occasions when we attend an event where the organizers have
decided to portray a western theater action, we wear our blue uniforms
and change our impression to that of the 66th Illinois Volunteer
Infantry. Also known as the "Western Sharpshooters", the 66th did
essentially the same job as the 1st U.S.S.S.
Specialty Impressions
Some members are available for specialty impressions upon request such
as:
Albert Cashier, also known as Jennie Hodgers. Hodgers was
an Irish immigrant and dressed and served as a man throughout the
American Civil War. After the war, she continued to live as a man until
she was hit by a car in 1910 which broke her leg and revealed her
secret.
